At the beginning of August I organised a workshop regarding "Weight Issues" whether it was regarding obesity or someone who was regarded as "skinny" and was not content with their body image.

In our society where we are led to believe that size 6-8 is "beautiful", it leads us to believe that if we are larger or not shapely, we are not beautiful.

We delved deep during the workshop and jotted down all the things we were willing to let go of and how willing we were to let go, plus what we had to do to let these things go i.e. not loving ourselves; not eating healthily at regular intervals etc. We understood that self-hatred played an important role in addictive behaviour and we had an affirmation to "Approve of ourselves".

As someone who is a typical "yo-yo dieter" I too followed all the suggestions given and two weeks later wondered why the weight wasn’t shifting as quickly as I wished. So I asked my higher consciousness (High Self) to help and was told I was blocking my "success" which I asked to be "cleared" in my Soul Records.

I am constantly amazed at how SPIRIT can help us with the little things we need on a day to day basis. All we need to do is to run over our desires and let go of the need to direct how they will appear in our lives.

Do you notice little frustrations in your daily life? Do you hang on to how they must look or progress? Try this. Pick one small thing that bothers you. Imagine what it would look like if it were solved. Do not try to imagine how this will happen. Only consider the end result.

Ask SPIRIT to handle it. Act on any guidance you may receive. Each time the situation appears to you and threatens to upset you, give thanks that SPIRIT is arranging the perfect outworking. Don’t blame anyone. Don’t criticize. Don’t complain. Just continue to give thanks for the action of SPIRIT in it. Either the situation will completely change or it won’t bother you any more. At least you will be at peace with it.

It’s a simple four-step process

  1. State your preference
  2. Let go of outcome
  3. Act as you are guided
  4. Give thanks

Living life in this manner can significantly reduce your response to stress, and it might just result in getting more of what you want.
