Do you feel boring?

Do you feel boring?

I keep meeting people who have broken up with their partner, who then sigh and say “Who will want me, I’m boring!”boring

Well I’m going to say it as it is.  If you think you are boring, that’s exactly the vibe that others will get from you!

Being boring, is not only about who you are as a person, but also how you present yourself. For those of you in need of some sprucing up, I have compiled a list of suggestions….

  1. Talk to someone new!talk

Human beings primarily communicate through words — this is how our species interacts.

Boring people usually aren’t boring at their core; they are simply introverted. Don’t be shy; talking to someone new will boost your confidence, even if it’s in the bus queue or at a party. Try paying someone a compliment. I.e. their hair; their clothes; their smile. Always a great ice breaker.

I went to a coffee morning fundraiser yesterday in aid of Cancer and met a marvellous woman who used to be a criminal barrister and also a Judge.  I had never met anyone like her before and found it a joy to chat to her.

  1. Learn something new!

Get out of your old comfort zone.  What is it you’d like to try?  Learning a language?  Cycling?  How to change a wheel on your car?  How to make pasta?  Meditation?meditation

Enrol in a course where you will meet like-minded people.

  1. Learn something new every day.snails

Being perceived as interesting revolves around holding conversations. The more that you have to talk about, the better. If you didn’t pay much attention in school and don’t know much about famous inventors, geography, biology or history or something else, then google what it is you’d like to know and learn something new every day.

Discover information such as ….

Did you know the world population is approximately

7,330,204,777? (It changes minute by minute!)

Or

The Word ‘Earth’ Has Been on Earth for 7,000 Years

  1. Explore

Where would you like to go?

Don’t worry how or when. Create a vision board to look at every day, of all these places and put it out there that you are going.  Be aware of opportunities that come your way..vision board

My niece wished to see the world.  She didn’t know how or when.

She then saw an opportunity to work as a hairdresser on a Cruise ship and did just that. Met and fell in love with the Spa Manager and her wedding is in Cape Town in October!

  1. Interesting people have a hunger for life

Cook a new recipe using new ingredients that you don’t normally buy. How about prunes?

TEATIME TREAT – PRUNE BROWNIES recipe is in my Kids Fruit Book  Kids Fruit Book

Did you know this about Prunes?

Cellulite: Prunes can help in the battle against the dreaded orange- peel skin effect of cellulite. Because they will keep the metabolism ticking over – which helps to reduce the amount of cellulite.

Visit somewhere new.  What’s in your locality?

A stately home?

A farm or zoo?

A museum?

  1. Embrace change

Look in your wardrobe. Do you always wear jeans?  How about buying something new?  There is a fashion advice service for FREE in John Lewis called “Style Express – style in 60 minutes”

Their personal stylists will take on your fashion challenge. This free service is perfect if you’re pushed for time, need help with that all-important interview outfit, or maybe seeking something for a special occasion.

Book an appointment now and send me a picture of your new outfit.

Or need new glasses?  Get your eyes tested and treat yourself to a new pair that reflect your personality.

Still got your same old hairstyle?  Be aware of special offers and go for a new restyle and maybe a different colour?

If you do not learn to enjoy change then you will not only lack success, you will lack joy in your life.

  1. Take back your power

Figure out what it is that you want and then pstand your groundlan a way to get it. Letting others decide your destiny, being complacent and accepting whatever leftovers others throw you is pathetic and boring. Do not let people push you around; stand your ground!

  1. Interesting people are dreamers.

If you don’t dream, then you can’t possibly make your dreams a reality. Our minds can be our most creative tool.  Picture what you want and what you want to do in your future. Imagine your life the way you wish you could live it and focus on it every waking moment of your life. Then work on making your dreams your reality.

  1. Leading an interesting life is easy if you want it.

More importantly than anything else is truly and completely wanting to live an interesting and exciting life. You must want to do things you are not comfortable doing. You must want to experience new experiences and you must want to get a fuller, more in-depth understanding of the way other people see the world. You must want to have an open mind. The world is an exciting place, so get excited!
